Refresca is a pre-launch Latin body-lotion brand. Right now, our site does one thing: it lets you join a waitlist. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect when you do that, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

We try to collect as little as possible. Here is the full list.

• Your email address. Only the email you choose to type into the waitlist form. We do not require your name, phone number, or anything else.
• Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs things such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you view. This helps us keep the site running and secure.
• Cookies and similar tools. We keep these to a minimum. We may use essential cookies to make the site work and limited, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many people visit. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Why we collect it

• To tell you when Refresca launches.
• To send founding-member offers and early-access perks to people on the waitlist.
• To understand which parts of the site work and to improve it.
• To keep the site secure and to comply with the law.

Our legal bases

Where privacy law (such as the laws in your state or region) requires a legal basis, we rely on:

• Your consent when you submit your email to join the waitlist and agree to hear from us.
• Our legitimate interests in running, securing, and improving the site.
• Legal obligations when we are required to keep or disclose certain records.

You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or by emailing us (see "Your rights" below).

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted third-party processors to operate the site. They act on our instructions and only for the purposes above. Generically, they are:

• An email and marketing service provider (ESP) that stores the waitlist and sends our emails.
• Our hosting and content-delivery provider, Cloudflare, which serves the site and helps protect it from abuse.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

How long we keep it

We keep your email on the waitlist until Refresca launches and for a reasonable period after, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it promptly, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal obligations. Technical logs are kept only for a short time for security and troubleshooting.

How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. We honor these requests regardless of where you live, to the extent we reasonably can.

• Know and access: ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Delete: ask us to delete your personal information.
• Correct: ask us to fix inaccurate information.
• Opt out: unsubscribe from our emails at any time.

California residents (CCPA and CPRA)

Because much of our community is in California and across the United States, we want to be clear about your California rights. If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
• Request deletion of your personal information.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. (As noted above, we do not sell or share your personal information.)
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not give you a worse experience or different pricing for saying no.

You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request.

How to exercise your rights

Email us at [email protected] and tell us what you would like to do. To unsubscribe from emails, you can also use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any message we send.

Children's privacy

Refresca is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are significant and we have your email, we may also let you know directly.
